The show, featuring The Dead Maggies, Phat Meegz and Heloise, will be held at The Royal Oak Hotel.
Although the recording was officially released last Friday, Stayns frontman Kenna Reid-Clark and multi-instrumentalist Elliot Courtnage said they wanted to bring it in with a bang.
They said the recording took about four years to nail, and the results had finally captured their live energy.
"We did recordings before now, but they just seemed dead," Reid- Clark said. "Having it down in a clinical environment really didn't capture our energy, that's what we're really about."
The release will allow the guys to archive their set list and move on to newer sounds, according to Reid-Clark. He said their older songs had been based on experiences from the past years and no longer reflected how the group had matured as musicians.
The addition of Courtnage to the group has also helped tighten up the band's approach to music, Reid-Clark said.
"We do take the band seriously, but the Stayns has always been about having fun for us," he said.
"The recording will allow us to hopefully branch out more with interstate shows." The launch show will be held from 8pm.
