The national fund-raiser asks participants to give up alcohol for a month to raise funds for various cancer charities.
It's a cause is close to the Riverside woman's heart.
``A couple of my uncles were diagnosed with various cancers and my mother is going through her diagnosis,'' Ms Henry said.
``It's indicated that she has bone cancer or myloma, and we have to find out what sort it is.''
She said her family was remaining positive while they waited for results from her mother's bone marrow biopsy.
``There's no point jumping to conclusions,'' she said.
``We'll just keep waiting and see how it goes from there.''
Ms Henry said the support of the Holman Clinic had been invaluable throughout the diagnosis process.
She said she hoped to raise at least $1000 for the cause through donations and an online auction.
