After almost six months of preparation, the school held its first dress rehearsal before the curtain is drawn in front a packed Princess Theatre next week.
Seussical is the amalgamation of many of Dr Seuss's most famous books.
Musical producer Liz Bennett said this year's production featured students from all walks of life.
``We have a lot of arty kids, but a few footy players have put their hand up as well and that's what makes this production so interesting,'' she said.
``They've all worked so hard and they've had to do this around their school work as well - I'm very proud.''
Launceston College year 12 student Molly Doyer, who plays the role of Gertrude McFuzz, believes Seussical's less well-known story will provide a lot of surprises for the audience.
``I think the fact that it hasn't been done much before lowers expectations,'' she said.
``The audience isn't going into this expecting a certain performance and a certain outcome.
``I was very nervous last year for Hairspray , but this year I'm really excited.''
Seussical opens at 8pm at the Princess Theatre on Wednesday, June 25.
The production runs from June 25 to 28.
