The fuel tank of a semi trailer was punctured by debris about 1.30pm, spewing diesel across 300 metres of the Midland Highway.

No one was hurt during the incident, although police and fire crews were called to contain leak.

The Northern Midlands Council has been notified and is in the process of removing the diesel from the highway.
