The EP debuted at number one on iTunes' national electronic charts and has garnered extensive support from fans on social media after its June 12 release.
Farrington was yesterday in Sydney on the back of his East Coast tour with New South Wales indie-electro group Safia.
``I've played two shows in Melbourne, plus Byron Bay and Brisbane.
``It's been mental, capacity crowds and Safia are the best guys to tour with,'' he said.
``The support from other artists has been great, I'm not one to name-drop but some of my idols have reached out recently and it's blowing my mind.''
MESA leapt above tunes by popular artists such as Flume, Die Antwoord and Alison Wonderland, catching the Tasmanian producer off-guard.
``Charting was definitely a goal but number one on the electronic charts is above and beyond what I expected,'' Farrington said.
``I've always believed in making music that resonates with myself first and foremost and the listener second. ``This is selfish and can mean compromising possible commercial success, so the support for this is really humbling and exciting.''
Farrington hopes to further his career in either Sydney or Melbourne.
