FINAL SIREN: Jarryd Roughead has equalled his career-best goal-kicking haul of eight as Hawthorn 19.9 (123) defeated West Coast 12.7 (79) at Aurora Stadium today in front of a crowd of 15,503.

While the Eagles ensured it wasn't a complete blowout on the scoreboard, it was still an easy win.

Roughead also had 24 touches, while Jordan Lewis (29) and Luke Hodge (28) we're outstanding.

Luke Sheuy had 29 touches for the Eagles, while Andrew Gaff kicked two majors.

THREE-QUARTER TIME: Hawthorn tortured West Coast in that third quarter of football, kicking six goals to one to lead 16.7 (103) to 8.7 (55) at three quarter time.

It has been a case of the slow, static chip around Eagles up against a hard running Hawthorn outfit that it just can't match.

Jarryd Roughead has kicked 6.2 from 20 touches, while Luke Hodge and Jordan Lewis (21) lead the stat sheet for the brown and gold.

Matt Priddis is West Coast's best with 22 disposals. 

HALF TIME: Eight goals between Jarryd Roughead and Jack Gunston have powered Hawthorn to a 19-point lead at half-time in its AFL clash at Aurora Stadium.

Roughead has five and Gunston three as the Hawks lead 10.6 (66) to 7.5 (47).

The Eagles owned the first part of the term, getting out to a12-point lead on two occasions before the home team made its move.

Roughead is BOG at the long break with 14 possessions and four marks to go with his five goals, while Jordan Lewis has 13 touches and Luke Hodge and Matt Suckling 12 each for the Hawks.

Xavier Ellis and Andrew Gaff have two goals each for the Eagles, Luke Shuey (16 disposals) and Mark Hutchings (15) are their leading disposal getters. 

QUARTER TIME: Mark LeCras has snuck home a goal in the quarter-time siren to hand West Coast a six-point lead at quarter-time in its clash with Hawthorn at Aurora Stadium.

The visitors lead 4.4 (28) to 3.4 (22) in a quarter highlighted by individual brilliance by Bradley Hill, Luke Breust and Nic Naitanui.

Jarryd Roughead, Breust and Jack Gunston have one each for the Hawks, with Andrew Gaff, Chris Masten and Naitanui joining LeCras on the goal-kicking list.
