DEVONPORT'S Sitel Australia contact centre will be closed and about 100 of its employees will be left jobless, after it was announced the company will likely move its operation to New Zealand by December.

Deputy Premier Jeremy Rockliff said the state government would work with Sitel to support those affected.
"This decision is deeply disappointing, particularly given this company received substantial public assistance under the previous state government to expand in Devonport," he said.
"While this comes as a setback for the North-West, the Liberal government is getting on with the job of delivering our plan for the long-term future of Tasmania."
The Australian Services Union Tasmania Branch said they had not been included in the decision process.
