Police believe that the driver of a vehicle killed in a crash at Ulverstone yesterday may have suffered from a medical issue shortly beforehand.

The 65-year-old Ulverstone woman was driving a small Nissan motor vehicle with three female occupants and travelling east on South Road, Ulverstone, crossed over the cement median strip at the intersection of Hobbs Parade and Queen Street about 3.30pm on Sunday.
The rear passenger - an 81-year-old woman from Ulverstone - was also killed in the crash.
The front-seat passenger, an 83-year-old Ulverstone woman, was taken to the North-West Regional Hospital in a serious condition. Her condition has been upgraded to stable. She sustained multiple fractures and other non-life threatening injuries.
The pedestrian, a 63-year-old Ulverstone man, sustained leg injuries during the crash. His condition has improved and he may be discharged from hospital.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
