Tasmania Police said there were no major injuries, however at least one of the two occupants in the vehicle was transported to the Launceston General Hospital.

``One person is understood to have sustained injuries, but we don't believe they are serious,'' Sergeant Nick Cooper said.

The accident occurred at 9.45am.

Traffic was disrupted but the road has since reopened.
