THE venue for Launceston's RSPCA Million Paws Walk has moved to the Roundhouse, off Forster Street, on the other side of Aurora Stadium.

The walk was initially meant to be held on the other side of the stadium but due to predicted showers, has moved to the Roundhouse so people can stay dry before and after the walk.

About 1000 people are expected to take part in the walk, with registrations opening at 10am.

The event will begin with games to get owners and their pooches warmed up, including a doggy version of musical chairs and a "Fetch The Examiner" game.

Then walk will then head off at 11am.

Stalls will be set up on site with lots of food as well as doggy goodies.

The event is the RSPCA's biggest annual fundraiser.

Microchipping will also be available from midday and cost $30 a dog..

Simultaneous events will be held in Hobart, Ulverstone, St Helens, Stanley and on King Island.

Cost is $12 adults; $8 children under- 15; $10 concession; family prices also available
