A spokeswoman confirmed Mr Hodgman would attend the strategy meeting convened by New South Wales Premier Mike Baird who has described Tuesday's federal budget as a ''kick in the guts''.
Mr Hodgman has been more mild in his reaction but says he is concerned about the moves to make the state pay more for health and education services in the long term.
This morning, he again ruled out supporting any increase to the GST rate or raising state taxes to cover the expected massive shortfall over 10 years.
More details about Sundays meeting will be announced this afternoon.
