New business owner Luke Dawson said although his business's website was not yet operating, the NBN was already providing additional scope for online promotion.
Mr Dawson said he first called a retail service provider about connecting his Wanted Street Wear shopfront to the network in February, to coincide with a March opening.
``It was all done within a month of calling, I'm pleased,'' he said yesterday.
``I wanted to have it up and running for our opening, we've been using it to upload and download files on Facebook and Instagram.''
He said the connection allowed him to simply do the business's ordering system by cutting out third-party programs, such as Dropbox, to send larger files.
``We're constantly downloading large images and files which our service over the NBN allows us to do very quickly, speeding up the feedback and purchasing process,'' Mr Dawson said.
He said the business has since been able to accept orders over social media, while its website is under construction, and has plans to expand its online trading capabilities.
