Staff met on site yesterday to check out the 16,000-square-metre outlet.
Complex manager Cheryl Heit said the majority of the team were recruits who would all be offered extensive training.
``Bunnings provides a number of career development options for all team members, and I'm confident our new recruits will relish the opportunity to learn and grow with us,'' she said.
Qualified trades people are among the new team and will be able to advise on do-it-yourself projects.
The store will also at times host free do-it-yourself activities and workshops.
