Changes to event owner's structure, along with an unprofitable outlook had cast doubt over the event's future in recent months.
However, a partnership between local business owners and motorsport enthusiasts, Greg Garwood and Clint Pease, means the festival will continue in 2015, following acquisition from former owners, Octagon Australia.
Longford Revival Festival partner, Mr Pease said the acquisition was an easy decision.
``This is a great opportunity to combine my passion for motorsport with our company's proven event management expertise. We have some great concepts that will see the event develop beyond just the flying mile. Some of the new elements will bring a greater focus on events within the township itself,'' he said.
While fellow partner, Mr Garwood acknowledged the festival's tradition.
``Longford is all about the original competitors and the rich motorsport history of the town I'm just happy to be able to do whatever I can to bring this event back. I firmly believe that in partnership with Clint, we can build this event into something special for many years to come,'' Mr Garwood said.
Further details of the event including proposed dates and event formats will be released in the coming months.
