It's not about protesting, but how you do it.
Everyone has the right to protest, but when you enter private property and stop people going about their lawful employment, it's got to be wrong.
Also posting false information on the internet to denigrate others and promote your own cause is nothing short of libel, and should be treated as such.
Think how you would feel if a group protesting against pollution caused by motor vehicles blockaded the road and prevented you going to work.
It's no different to what has been happening in our forests.
It's not the protesting, but the disregard of other people's rights that have forced the proposed enactment of these laws.
