Mr Finch yesterday turned down Mr Morris's invitation to participate in a town hall-style debate on the forestry deal, which the Liberals have vowed to scrap. He said his diary was full.
"I'd end up in a town hall full of Don Morris, or the Liberal Party supporters, why would I do it?" Mr Finch said.
Mr Finch strongly supported the deal when it narrowly passed the Legislative Council last year.
Yesterday Mr Finch said he did not know whether he would support the Liberals' repeal bill if elected.
"I haven't seen it, I would need to consider it the same as any piece of legislation," Mr Finch said.
Mr Morris, who is the new Premier's former chief of staff, accused Mr Finch of being a closet Green, after the Greens failed to field a candidate in the election.
"Mr Finch is too afraid to say what he thinks," Mr Morris said.
"Or is he just waiting for the Greens to tell him what to say?"
