DI SCETRINE (Letters, April 10) questions the large expense of the search for the Malaysian flight missing when there is no hope, no hope of survivors, but we need to know the reason for this terrible disaster to hopefully prevent further happenings.

And if possible, find out who was responsible.
Right now suspicion is on the pilots, who may or may not be responsible.
Their next of kin need to know, as well as others, if they in any way caused this disaster.
