The 18-year-old sibling of Australian cricketer James Faulkner is one of the team's locally grown talents and has been part of the Tornadoes program for four years after taking a break last season.

"I am loving it this season - it's a great group of people and I'm really enjoying it," Faulkner said.

The Torns have a week's break after defeating Sandringham by five points to record their second win of the season last Saturday.

They face the strong Kilsyth outfit in their next game at Elphin Stadium on Saturday, April 26, with the Lady Cobras sitting atop the Southern conference ladder boasting a 4-1 record.

"They will be strong but we bounced back after our loss to Hobart and I think we've got the team and the talent to get over the line so I'm pretty confident," Faulkner said.

"We've been focusing on our defence a fair bit and slowing down in offence and really just being assertive."

Faulkner said she had been working hard for coach Peta Sinclair as a defensive player.

"I have focused on trying to get stops with the ball and also being a leader within the group but it's been really exciting though."

Her court time has varied with how the team if faring and what the coach wants for the group, but she said she was happy with the time she was getting and enjoying her season.
