The Girl Guide Tasmania patrol camping weekend was held at River's Edge, Lonnavale, an area inland from Huonville.
The girls aged 10 to 17 were expected to erect their own tents, cook their own food, care for their own gear and equipment and work in their patrol to do activities.
Esk District Leader Julie Miller said Guide units existed at Exeter, Beaconsfield and Legana.
She said camping carried some responsibilities.
``The criteria for the competition is participation of the whole patrol in activities, encouragement by the patrol and co-operation of the patrol.''
