The up-and-comer will tour with fellow Sydney group Ball Park Music on the back of its latest White Deer Park album, released this year.
While touring, the band will also set up in Launceston's Mojo Music for National Record Store Day - an ideal opportunity to talk to and perform for fans in an intimate environment, according to bassist Angus Gardiner.
"I think there are some bands that still want to be making albums right now, rather than just releasing singles," Gardiner said yesterday.
"We wanted to release this one all on its own.
"I think something like Record Store Day explores that as well - it's about the idea of going out and buying a record as a whole, rather than just listening to a single on iTunes or Spotify."
He said the release, Papa's second full-length since 2011's United in Isolation, was a cut- down selection of about 80 songs prepared by the group.
"It took us quite a long time to write a heap of songs for it," Gardiner said.
"We definitely wanted to take our time with it and get things right, because you don't get to make an album very often.
"We finished recording it around April 2013, it's April 2014 now and we've only had it out for two months."
The band will support Ball Park Music at Launceston's Hotel New York on Thursday, April 17.
National Record Store Day celebrations featuring the band will be held at Mojo Music from 8am, Saturday, April 19.
