This Saturday night will provide more reason to celebrate.
The new and improved line-up knuckled down last year to record a follow-up to its hugely successful debut Extended Family, and the results of touring, toil and tedious studio time has yielded good results.
The band spent 14 hours a day, more than 14 days in the studio, and tracked 14 songs for By A Thread - 11 of which made the final cut.
Bassist-vocalist Tyler Richardson said he believed the album was more influenced by guitarist companion Tom Busby, album newcomer Pat Marshall (of Your Demise), and contributions on song structure from producers Nic White and Linc le Fevre.
The end result was a well- rounded, heart-felt slick production from a band more mature than listeners first met on the 2011 debut.
"We wanted something different this time around, and to incorporate different influences while not changing the sound," Busby said.
"When I think of the last one, I'd describe it as youthful fire. This one is a bit more contemplative; there's more patience."
The two rate Benthos, Waves and Here's Looking At You Kid Rock as the standout tracks and live favourites.
Busby said interestingly, the latter song - which had had been kicking around for a while when the band was a five-piece - just made the album after drummer Danny Flood received the demo two days before the band entered the studio.
But it could go without saying that the track dearest to the band's heart is the album closer Two Snakes; a song written about a lifelong friend of the four, Travis Rowlings, who was tragically killed in a car accident last year.
"It was the most brutally, emotionally draining song to write - but to me, the song will never be good enough," Busby said.
"Nobody said anything much while we were recording it.
"There was a sombre feeling in the studio when it was done."
"We just wanted this to be a special song for the gang."
