LAUNCESTON bus users have two more weeks to tell Metro what they think about proposed changes to bus stops in the city's Northern suburbs.
Metro plans to remove 16 stops from both sides of Invermay, George Town and Lilydale roads, through the suburbs of Invermay, Mowbray, Mayfield, Alanvale and Rocherlea.
It also plans to install a new stop near 81-83 George Town Road, and relocate outward stop 12 to outside Coles supermarket - near Joffre Street - and outward stop 16 so it's closer to Brooks High School.
The proposal aims for an average distance of 400-500 metres between each stop.
Metro chief executive Heather Haselgrove said the move was part of a review of all bus stops and shelters across the state.
``The main aim of the review is to speed up travelling times and improve the reliability of published bus service times at each stop,'' she said.
``We also want to improve accessibility and safety of the stops.''
Feedback must be submitted by 5pm, Friday, April 18, and the changes are due to take effect on April 27.
Full details can be found at www.metrotas.com.au/about-us/invermay. Feedback forms are available from the Metro website, from Metro's Launceston depot at 168 Wellington Street, or by calling 132 201.
