Building approvals rose in Tasmania in trend terms in February - albeit by just one approval - according to figures released this morning.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics' building approvals for February showed there were 151 approvals in trend terms in February - up from 150 in January.
Nationally, approvals eased by a seasonally adjusted 5 per cent in February. Economists had expected a 2 per cent fall for the month.
In trend terms, there was a 0.7 per cent national increase.
The bureau also released its quarterly job vacancies figures for February.
The number of job vacancies in Tasmania was static in the February quarter at 1900, although it was down from 2200 in February last year.
