POLICE were late last night investigating a deliberately lit fire that caused $100,000 damage at the junior campus of the Launceston Church Grammar School at East Launceston.

The Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police were called to the former Broadland House building in Lyttleton Street at 9.15pm.
It took two fire engines and a small truck to put out the blaze on the rear left-hand side of the heritage-listed building and police and forensic teams were still investigating at 10.30pm.
Tasmania Police Sergeant Bob Schiwy said a seat at the rear of the building was deliberately set on fire and it spread to the rest of the building.
