Farmers market co-ordinator Carolyn Edgecombe said the market was born from a desire to share a love of fresh produce with the Northern community.
``I wanted to start the Little Red Tractor Farmers Market because I think we all should be eating freshly grown Tasmanian food,'' Ms Edgecombe said.
``We are so lucky to have so much amazing food being produced by small, family-run businesses right on our doorstep.
``If we all start buying from our local farmers and producers it will help boost our economy.''
She said she was expecting a healthy attendance for tomorrow's event, following a string of positive feedback.
``Local people have had to travel to markets in other towns and now are feeling very excited they'll have their own farmers' market,'' Ms Edgecombe said.
``People understand that it's really important to buy local and that's what helps make communities stronger.'' Expressions of interest are still invited from would-be stallholders and Ms Edgecombe said they were particularly interested in talking to fruit and honey producers.
