Weapons seized in the search include a crossbow, a .22 calibre magnum pistol, a .22 calibre bolt action rifle, an SKS semi-automatic assault rifle, a 12 gauge under-and-over shotgun, and an air rifle.
Police said that the SKS assault rifle was a prohibited weapon.
A 30 year old man from Devonport has been charged with numerous firearm and drug related offences and bailed to appear at the Devonport Magistrates Court on April 29.
Police alleged that no one at the residence holds a fire licence, and that none of the firearms have ever been registered. Police say that ammunition for each of the weapons was also seized and the firearms were not stored in accordance with legislation.
