Patrons dancing in the rain at Forth blues get-together

FROM underneath the relative dryness of umbrellas and shade tents, the crowd at the Forth Valley Blues Festival jigged along to Greg Dodd and the Taildraggers.

It was the second-last act of the afternoon, and was followed by the festival's star act, Dallas Frasca.

The shock red-haired rock singer and guitarist dominated the stage, flagged by her drummer and shirtless bearded guitarist.

Festival organiser Paul Barter said the trio was booked to attract younger audiences to ensure the festival did not compete with Hunters and Collectors at A Day On The Green.

But up to 2000 people both young and old attended the event and ignored the bad weather.

Some rocked out with gusto and danced bare- footed in the rain.
