Guilty plea to lighting Ravenswood fires

A RAVENSWOOD man will be sentenced in the Supreme Court next month for lighting two fires.

Jamie George, 23, pleaded guilty in the Launceston Magistrates Court today to arson and having unlawfully set fire to vegetation.

The charges relate to a house fire in Rosetta Place, Ravenswood, on December 20, and a vegetation fire at Ravenswood yesterday.

Magistrate Simon Brown remanded George for sentencing in the Launceston Supreme Court on April 28 at 10am.
