The pitch, one of the first Australian grounds to hold games, has hosted iconic players including William Gilbert Grace during his 1874 tour of the country.
A game last month organised between one of Australia's oldest cricket clubs, I Zingari, and a re- formed Entally Estate side saw sporting victory once again returned to the Hadspen property.
Match organiser Peter Darrow said the historic venue made an ideal ground for masters games.
"The place has a magical feel and surroundings are very English," Mr Darrow said.
He said a hotel across from Hadspen's Red Feather Inn was used as a team meeting place, before it was washed away in 1870.
"The ground down by the river was once a huge community gathering place for cricket and events in the 1800s early 1900s," Mr Darrow said.
"Some photos and history of Entally Cricket Club games are able to be viewed on a tour of the house and grounds."
A Parks and Wildlife Service spokeswoman said the historic site boasted a history of supporting diverse community-related activities.
"These activities are supported, however, it will be for any future lessee to manage activities in such a way that is consistent with their plan for maintaining the heritage values of the estate," the spokeswoman said.
