Opposition leader Will Hodgman said the planned ramp would give West Tamar and broader Launceston boat users greater entry to the Tamar River and reduce pressure on other access points.
``Our commitment will be matched by the West Tamar Council, who will improve Jetty Road so access is better, and they will also undertake works to allow for parking in the area,'' Mr Hodgman said.
``The Legana Community Group is also working with council to obtain additional funding from other programs to make further improvements to facilitate more use of the river and area.''
