A former police officer of 22 years now a Waratah-Wynard councillor, Kevin retired from the police service retired with the rank of sergeant (detective).

His specialist areas included child protection, law and policy, firearms, officer safety and disaster management. While policing, Kev developed skills in human resource management, education and budgeting.
He is skilled in preparing legal documentation, training programs, project submissions and ministerial briefings. Kev also has army reserve, infantry and combat engineer experience.
Kevin is passionate about health care, local government and land planning. In his role as a councillor he currently sits on the code of conduct panel.
A prominent member of his community, he is a committee member of the Tasmania Health Organisation North West Community Engagement Reference Group.
Government wastage is a major issue for Kevin and one which he will tackle head-on when elected.
“If we can reduce government wastage we can reallocate those funds to be used for the benefit of Tasmanians,” he said.
“The Palmer United Party has different thinking to the other parties, which is exactly what Tasmania needs.
“We have solutions for Tasmania because we approach the problems differently. We will help existing businesses improve and attract new business to Tasmania.”
