- Charlotte Dawson found dead
The agent selling the two-bedroom Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf apartment where Charlotte Dawson was a tenant has revealed he was the one to find her body.
"It was myself,” Morton and Morton agent Noel Jenkins confirmed on Sunday.
"She would leave a key out for me and I would let myself in.”
There had previously been speculation that a security guard had found the troubled star in the luxury apartment where she paid $1200 a week.
Mr Jenkins said he did not want to discuss anything about the discovery or where he found her.
"It’s obviously very traumatic,” he said.
Mr Jenkins said that a crowd of people were waiting to inspect the open home ahead of the auction, which had been scheduled for noon on Saturday.
"Obviously, we weren’t able to take any registrations,” he said.
There were five contracts out on the apartment. He said he didn’t know when the auction would now proceed.
“There are no answers, it’s all very fresh,” Mr Jenkins said.
The apartment is owned by a company called Majony Pty Ltd, of which Ghassan Raymond Gazal is listed as a director.
Ghassan Gazal is known as Jason Gazal, a property developer.
Property records show that Majony Pty Ltd bought the apartment for $1.85 million in 2009.
Its current price guide is about $2 million.
The Gazals own many other apartments on the wharf and both John Laws and Russell Crowe own apartments there.
Crowe tweeted on Sunday: Charley D … Just don’t understand. There’s not enough kind souls as it is. Rest in peace.”
