Dr Ferme said that the forums were intended as an information exchange.
"They will be structured to deliver information on key industry programs, allowing for plenty of question time and will be followed by the open panel question and answer session," she said.
"Producer feedback collated at the forum will assist [the council] with future industry planning and will help to inform its advice to the levy-funded bodies.
"Hence we really want to hear directly from producers from across Australia."
Ms Davis said that the TFGA was a member of the council and represented Tasmanian sheepmeat producers at the national table, but it was critical for Tasmanian sheepmeat producers to also attend events like Tuesday's forum.
"It is important for Tasmanian producers to be seen and heard by the national industry bodies at any opportunity we can get," she said.
"[Tuesday's forum] is a good chance to provide feedback on industry programs, share industry challenges faced on-farm and, importantly, show support for the Tasmanian sheepmeat industry."
Dr Ferme said that forum topics would include:
An overview of the sheepmeat industry structure including an update from TFGA
An update on MLA's research and development including animal health research
The latest on the sheepmeat marketing programs
The open panel session.
