The lodge was ranked fifth in the extraordinary category with Mihir Gahr in Rajasthan, India, the number one accommodation establishment.
Botswana's Planet Baobab was second, Italy's Prendiparte B&B third and Qasr Al Sarab in the United Arab Emirates was fourth.
Lonely Planet author Anita Isalska said Peppers Cradle Mountain ``plunges you into the heart of Tasmania's wilderness, with luxury that feels as organic as your surrounds''.
``Don't get me wrong, I was happy to be exhausted by long hikes in the national park and I even enjoyed Cradle Mountain's dramatic weather.
``But the thrill of spotting echidnas and pademelons from the silky waters of a private hot tub is hard to forget.''
Sydney Harbour YHA was ranked second on the Best Value list.
