TWO men will face the Launceston Magistrates Court at 11.30am today charged with serious assaults and drug trafficking.

The allegations relate to a police searches yesterday, when Launceston detectives and the drug squad searched a residence in Neika Avenue, West Launceston and a residence in Robin Street, Newstead.
Police will allege that the two men assaulted a St Leonards man in February in two separate incidents.
Officers also allegedly seized more than 700 grams of methylamphetamine and more than $32,000 in cash from the West Launceston property.
A West Launceston man, 34, has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, one count of aggravated assault, two counts of assault, having assaulted police and having trafficked in a controlled substance.
A Newstead man, 25, has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, one count of aggravated assault, two counts of assault, and one count of stealing.
The complainant in relation to the allegations of assault is undergoing treatment for his injuries and will require surgery.
