The Sydney Morning Herald today reported that ATO was set to withdraw its regional presence and close offices in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, and Queensland.
But an ATO spokeswoman said no decision has been made on any regional office leases.
She said the tax office was consulting with Launceston staff in an ``open and transparent process'' during the review of office locations.
