A 19-year-old Lenah Valley man has appeared in the Hobart magistrates court charged with the shooting murder of 41-year-old Jason William McPherson.
Brodie Leigh Price did not enter a plea to the charge.
The shooting allegedly occured just before midnight on Friday at a house in Pine Avenue in Kingston.
Police found Mr McPherson's body in the backyard.
Mr Price appeared before deputy chief Magistrate Michael Daly and will be remanded in custody until Thursday.
Mr McPherson's friends were in court this afternoon and called out to Mr Price saying: ''maggot'' and ''you're dead''.
