TRAVIS Birt says umpiring decisions like the one the one that cost him his wicket against Brisbane Heat on Saturday are "disappointing."

Birt was given out caught behind, despite the fact there was no evidence that he hit it, and the fact there was no real appeal from the Heat players.
"It changes the course of a game, and after Ben Dunk was dismissed in the next over, it did alter the course of the game," Birt said.
"Maybe the technology is there for a third umpire to be used in an instance like that, but everyone does make mistakes.
"I was more baffled that no-one had appealed and that there was no noise."
