It is more vital that this mill never gets built now that the World Health Organisation has determined air pollution to be carcinogenic after investigating thousands of health studies.
The WHO says that particle pollution also causes lung cancer and this is exactly what the mill will be churning out.
Yes, he is right there will be jobs if this mill gets built, but Mr Gilmour conveniently leaves out that many will be in poor health after people are forced to breathe the emissions.
We simply cannot afford a stinking mill and more air pollution in the Tamar Valley.
The air studies for the pulp mill were rushed and its mill permit application was determined to be "critically non- compliant".
Am I one of the entrenched opponents Mr Gilmour speaks about?
Yes, I worked in a pulp mill. I worked for state health. I looked after equipment to help respiratory patients breathe and I have witnessed firsthand the wonderful work that goes on in the Holman Cancer Clinic and the rest of the Launceston General Hospital.
But I am not green. What are Mr Gilmour's credentials?
I respectfully suggest he is not qualified to be pushing the pro-mill campaign.
