Stores in Launceston's central business district are still bursting with sale items, with many as much as 50 per cent off.
Red Herring store manager Hayley Van Den Tol said the Charles Street store was flat out with customers yesterday, but still had sale stock left.
"We have one mixed rack with kids' clothes, ladies' and men's clothes that are all 50 per cent off," she said.
Many Boxing Day shoppers said Red Herring had the best sales in town.
Begents staff got to spend Boxing Day relaxing with family but were straight back into sale mode yesterday.
Store manager Marcus Ling said there were plenty of good deals on washing machines, television sets and lounge suites that would last through the weekend.
Your Habitat also has four days left on its 20 to 50 per cent off Boxing Day sale.
"We had lots of stock come in early to handle the six-day sale," an employee said.
She said the most popular purchases included cookware, glassware and picnic items.
The Australian National Retailers Association predicts that Tasmanians will spend $311 million on post-Christmas sales between Christmas Day and January 14.
National shoppers are expected to spent $17.6 billion, a 5.6 per cent increase on last year, during the period.
