Chieftains' captain Clint Moore hit four sixes to score 54 after winning the toss and electing to bat.
Brother Brad Moore chipped in with a handy 29 down the order to lift the away side to 8-150 from their allotted overs.
Brett Martin was the Tigers' best bowler finishing with 4-21.
Longford wicketkeeper-batsman Hayden Scott proved the thorne in Hadspen's side, accumulating 69 before finally being dismissed by leg spinner Matt Green.
The Tigers were in control throughout to record an important win.

Trevallyn captain Shannon Rumbel notched up another half century to lead his side to victory.
Trevallyn will play Legana in the Twenty20 final at Trevallyn on Thursday.
