Launceston police have confirmed that a body found in the Tamar River in November is that of missing university student Natasha Narang.

Ms Narang was reported missing from near the University of Tasmania at Newnham on October 4.
A search of the area at that time failed to find any sign of her.
However, items of personal property belonging to Ms Narang were located at the edge of the Tamar River, near the Southern Outlet, on October 9.
Her body was found by a member of the public in river debris at Rosevears on November 24 about midday near the intersection of Rosevears Drive and McEwans Road, about 15 metres above the high water mark.
The 30-year-old came to Tasmania from India in November 2012 to complete a PhD in education at the University of Tasmania.
Sergeant Phil Norton said that Ms Narang's family members had been advised and that a report was being prepared for the coroner.
Police thanked members of the public for their help during the investigation into Ms Narang's disappearance.
