HOBART police have arrested a man after an alleged scissor attack at Rosetta.

Officers were called to the scene, in Main Road, about 11.30am today.
There had been an altercation between two men who were known to each other.
The incident resulted in a smashed car window and consequently, a scissor injury to one man, which was a four-centimetre laceration to the back of the head.
Police arrested a Bellerive man, 42. The injured man, a 32-year-old from Claremont, is being treated in the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Police expect the man to be released from hospital shortly. His injuries are not life-threatening.
