Held next Sunday evening at Launceston's City Park, the event was drawn together by Tamar Sunrise Rotary with the help of Vos Constructions after fears it would not happen.
Vos Family Office chief executive David Gray said it was important that the event went ahead. "It's a great community event and we love to be part of it," Mr Gray said.
Event co-ordinator Danny Gibson said more than 100 people had put their hand up to volunteer for the event.
"Carols by Candlelight is a significant fund-raiser for The Examiner Empty Stocking Appeal with money going to four local charities," Mr Gibson said.
The night will feature Northern Tasmanian musicians volunteering their time on stage, including reality TV stars Reuben Koops and Julianne di Sisto.
Southern Cross news anchor Jo Palmer will be master of ceremonies.
Carols by Candlelight is on December 15 from 7pm and costs $5 and $2 for children, candles included.
The event's official songbook will appear in The Examiner on Friday.
