The Spirit sits on top of the T20 table and second on the 50-over ladder, while the Roar are at the bottom of both competitions without a win.
Tasmanian coach Julia Price said good bowling would be the key to being competitive.
"Our bowlers need to stick to our plans and limited the Spirits' top three batters' scoring opportunities," she said.
"I believe our bowlers can do this.
"Katelyn Fryett is bowling extremely well and being supported well by Anita Silva and Meg Phillips."
Price also said the Roar's batting was improving "every game", with the return of Burns and Page to further strengthen this area.
The first T20 of the weekend's matches will be played today, with a 50-over match tomorrow and another T20 on Sunday.
Tasmanian Roar squad: Veronica Pyke (c), Corinne Hall (vc), Erin Burns, Linsey Da Costa, Katelyn Fryett , Brooke Hepburn, Belinda Page, Meg Phillips, Carly Ryan, Hannah Short, Anita Silva, Emily Smith, Emma Thompson.
