Adrian John Hall, 38, has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of stealing and one of dishonestly acquiring a financial advantage.
Mr Hall appeared before Chief Justice Alan Blow at the Supreme Court in Burnie yesterday.
His lawyer, Greg Richardson, was directed to make an application for pre-trial hearings before December 13.
