A FORKLIFT operator died in a workplace incident in Launceston yesterday afternoon.

The 24-year-old man was using his forklift to unload goods from the rear of a flat tray truck when the forklift fell on its side about 3.50pm.
The worker was pinned underneath the forklift, in the front yard of Roadside Products in St Leonards Road, St Leonards.
Sergeant Phil Norton, of Launceston uniform police, said the man was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police have contacted the man's family.
Paramedics and firefighters also attended the scene.
An employee at Roadside Products declined to comment when contacted by The Examiner late yesterday.
Workplace Standards is investigating the incident and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
