Police are investigating an alleged wounding near a Launceston hotel overnight.
Just before midnight, police were called to a disturbance near the Royal Oak Hotel in Brisbane Street.
When they arrived, they found two males both with injuries to their torso. They were taken to the Launceston General Hospital for treatment.
Detectives took four males into custody - charging one with common assault. He was bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
Police have asked that anyone who saw a group of four males near the Royal Oak at the time, or anyone who has information, to contact the Launceston Criminal Investigation Branch on 6336 3910 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
