POLICE have scaled back the search for missing Indian student Natasha Narang.
Duty Inspector Darren Hopkins said an aircraft search of the Tamar River on Saturday failed to find any signs of the 30-year-old, however it did locate some areas which will be searched by foot or helicopter.
Inspector Hopkins said a boat would also search the river this week. Mrs Narang was last seen by a motorist crossing the East Tamar Highway on October 4, heading in the direction of the river.
She has not been heard from since and police found some of her personal belongings on the river bank last week.
Police do not suspect any suspicious circumstances in her disappearance.
