TASMANIA has lost its final one day cup group match, going down by 52 runs to Western Australia at Blacktown.
The Tigers were all out for 204 off 48.5 overs, chasing the Warriors' 8-256.
Evan Gulbis (47 off 46 balls) and skipper Tim Paine (38 from 52) were the best with the bat for the Tigers, while WA quick Andrew Tye took a career-best 5-46,
Earlier, The Warriors total was built around half-centuries from Shaun Marsh (84) and John Rogers (68).
Gulbis was the pick of the bowlers for Tasmania with 3-37 from his 10 overs, while Ben Laughlin took 2-52.
Despite the loss, Tasmania still remains a mathematical chance of qualifying for Thursday's preliminary final.
